1. Properties of polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
Two kinds of PVC soft and hard: hard PVC, high mechanical strength, excellent electrical properties, strong resistance to acid and alkali, good chemical stability. The tensile strength, bending strength, impact strength and impact toughness of soft PVC are low, while the elongation at break is higher.
2, polyethylene (PE) properties
It is divided into three kinds: high pressure, medium pressure and low pressure polyethylene. High pressure polyethylene is flexible, low pressure polyethylene is hard, cold resistance is good, and it is still soft at -70. Chemical stability is high, acid and alkali and organic flux. It has excellent electrical properties and good radiation resistance.
3, polystyrene (PS) properties
It has certain mechanical strength, good chemical stability and electrical properties, good transmittance, good coloring and easy forming. Its characteristics are almost completely water-resistant. It can only be used at low and low temperatures (60~75 degrees C).
4, high impact polystyrene (HIPS) properties
Compared with polystyrene, it has high toughness and impact strength, and the other properties are basically similar, and the forming process is good.
5, styrene acrylonitrile copolymer (AS or SAN) properties
Compared with polystyrene, it has higher impact strength and excellent heat resistance, oil resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. For example, it can be well resistant to some hydrocarbons that cause polystyrene stress cracking. The modulus of elasticity is a high one of the existing thermoplastic plastics.
